Places to go, Things to do.
This program allows you to open and print music files on your computer. There is a free version as well as other options. The free version is highly recommended for all band students
This powerful software lets you view the drill the high school uses during marching band. Once again, it's free! This is a great way for students to get an idea of what the 'big picture' looks like and allows parents to develop a greater understanding of what we do during the fall. Priced at $0.00, it's hard to beat!
This program allows students to practice in a whole new way. Students can practice with an active recording technology software that accompanies them. Beginners can work on their method books and have the computer grade their progress; older students can work on their solos for district and state music festival without hiring a live in piano player. A tuner and metronome are included in the software. This one isn't free, but it is highly recommended by Mr. Maledy. Any questions not answered by the site can be directed to him.
This is a fantastic resource to reinforce the mallet players note reading capabilities. Again, cheap as free!
A great site to view scores, see upcoming competitions and learn something once in a while.
Mid-Continent Color Guard Association
The regional organization we would belong to for winter guard and winter percussion competitions.
The music store we use for instrument repairs and rentals. New students can rent their instruments online!
